Hope Centres for Orphans and Vulnerable Children and Ghana's Education Every body agrees that education is essential to fight against poverty, but a third of the worlds children do not get time in school necessary to achieve basic literacy. 1.3 million children have no access to primary education at all and over 60% of these are girls. Many children work on the streets selling goods in order to make ends meet and to pay for their school fees. 15% of these children are killed or seriously injured each year in road related incidences. Children are fending for themselves and siblings due to death of their parents through sickness and diseases and abandonment, some children are living with grandmothers who are too old to work and many of these children go to bed each day without food or clothes let alone Education. One of the project we do in Ghana is the feed the children project. This project takes place at a village where children over the region of Cape coast would be invited to attend and have a big party we distribute toys clothes sweets etc to these children.
